COLLABORATIONS WITH
In 2008—9 Gillian collaborated with digital artist, Ben Beeton, on an elaborate project about a section of remnant rainforest at the top of the Great Dividing Range in Toowoomba, Qld. The resultant exhibition, “Gondwana in Toowoomba”, consisting of Ben’s fascinating prints, Gillian’s paintings of the rainforest trees and drawings of the many vines, was very well received and attracted much interest. Gillian has held other exhibitions with invited guest botanical artists, including Bev Irwin, a successful former student of hers. |

BOOKS |
Gillian worked for several years as a science writer for a government research department.
Her aptitude for turning scientific research papers into readily understood articles for general readership has more recently been put to good use in the books she has written on various topics of natural history and for teaching botanical art. |
